Andre Tchmil

Tchmil's career ended in surprising fashion on the 29th May this year - the Russian/Belgian/Italian scorched away to win a stage of the revived Tour of Belgium - then announced his retirement on the winner's podium! When other riders heard the news, many rushed up to congratulate him - most especially arch-rival Johan Museeuw, who gave Tchmil a friendly hug....the veteran had found the way out he wanted, with dignity.
